The papers are from BoBunny, and the bird die cut was given to me from a friend a couple of years ago. I finally found a place for it. The butterfly is actually a button discovered at Joann's.

Normally, our family celebrates a traditional Christmas in Michigan each year. My children live all over the country, so it always requires travel. This year we all spent the holidays at my daughter and son-in-laws home in Florida, and had quite a non-traditional Christmas. This layout for my grand daughters scrapbook is of our Christmas Eve on the beach. (You can double-click on any image to get a larger view if you like.) The photo of mother and daughter squatting is a classic. Mom just squatted down to enjoy the view and daughter mimicked momma, and followed suit. We definitely made a memory. All materials are from Club Scrap and the layout is a sketch from Sketches by Suzy.

Another layout of my grand daughter visiting the pumpkin patch. She was so excited that day to get her pumpkin. This is my first layout intentionally working with 'white space'. I have to really fight the urge to fill in all the empty space. The supplies I used have been in my stash for probably 5 years, but they seemed to work on this page.

I'm still working on my grand daughters scrapbook. I make a new book each year, chronologically from birthday to birthday. This background was made by stamping with rubber stamps using acrylic paint. The letters were also painted and stamped on, then coated with Diamond Glaze. This technique is a great way to customize plain cardstock. In trying to create a 'film strip' of photos at the bottom, I free hand cut the paper to fit the photos. All of the papers and stamps are from Club Scrap. At 2 years old, after she figured out how to get on the bike...she just pedaled away. She was quite proud of herself.

I started working on a companion layout to this one I posted a few months ago. I stamped with acrylic on the polka dot BG paper and used paint to distress it around the edges. The photo mats were painted also, but the color in my photograph is a little off, not quite so minty. After I finished most of the LO, I decided I didn't like how there was so much dark BG on the large photo. I'd always admired photo distressing and thought I would try to create a kind of shabby/mystical look with this photo. I used paint around the edges and then masked closely to the image and splattered perfect pearls. I was going to add a little white paint, but decided to do some scratching on the photo instead. Overall, I think I like it. As this layout is going in my daughter's album, I hope she likes it. Have you ever altered your photographs? I'd love to see them. Can you leave me a link?

You are the brightest ornament in my life.. a Christmas layout of my grand daughter. After I had cut the copper circle I needed something to soften it up against the burgundy paper. I didn't have anything on hand, so I ended up pleating crepe paper and using Ice Stickles on it (which you can't see). The white flower was colored with distress ink and more stickles. I really enjoy doing these fem-me layouts of her, way to much fun...

I'm not much of a scrapbooker, although I do scrap my darling granddaughter and make albums for her mom. After making 2 albums, I decided I needed my own album. My album will just be my favorite pictures of Olivia, not the daily life photos. Olivia turned 2 in October and this is one of her studio shots, my favorite. She had on a beautiful party dress, which you can't see. I wanted a very feminine layout for this picture. Using supplies from a 'Swirlydoos' kit, I came up with this. I think I'll keep it in this frame for a bit, till I get the next LO done and then stick it in an album. I don't normally embellish much, do you think it's too much?

This is an album in a box project made as a thank you gift for an associate. The top closes 'clam shell' style. The actual mini album on the right is 6x6. This is all ready to go, all she has to do is add her own pictures.
