Another boxed set of cards made for a gift. This is very different than the norm for me, but I loved this pattern paper from my favorite paper store in Ann Arbor. The cards are very simple but with a lot of texture and color. Most were embossed using a cuttle bug.

This is an album in a box project made as a thank you gift for an associate. The top closes 'clam shell' style. The actual mini album on the right is 6x6. This is all ready to go, all she has to do is add her own pictures.

Last night I made a boxed set of eight cards as a gift using one of my favorite Club Scrap kits and a variety of rubber stamps. One ink pad was used in varying tones, called mono stamping. This was a great project and I'm pleased with how they all turned out.

Contact paper from the dollar store is the very best material to cut stencils or make masks IMHO. For this simple card I sprayed the heart mask with my own 'glimmer mist' made from dye reinkers and perfect pearls. It does have a slight shimmer, which you probably can't see. I would really like to have a used sewing machine so that I could actually sew on my pieces, until then this faux look will have to do. All the stamps are from Club Scrap.

I've been involved in an Art Journal Round Robin with an online group for about 2 years now. This entry is my work in one of the other members journal. Her theme was advice, and I am the last person to work in her journal, which is wonderful. I get to view all the participants work! I'm not sure if this is finished, what do you think? This is probably my first attempt at whimsy, using acrylics, oil pastels, colored pencil and marker.

A little resist technique using designer paper and ink. I'm thinking Valentine's Day cards for my girls...not a heart to be found.
