Distress Stickles Challenge

I've missed a few challenges at Studio L3...life gets in the way. The challenge this week is to use Distress Stickles from Ranger. I thought I'd try a creative background, rather than using it on any one item. Brushed Corduroy Distress Stickles was used on the background on both the image and on the mat. It may be difficult to see, I had a very hard time getting a decent photo with all of the metallic glare. (Anyone have a suggestion for this?)
The mat piece was made using metallic inks. When it was dry, I rubbed the stickles all over the paper for texture. The image from Club Scrap was stamped and gold embossed on a distress ink background. When it was dry, again, I just rubbed distress stickles on it.
Thanks Linda for your consistency in offering these challenges.

Julie, it's great to see you again, and I'm completely inspired by this gorgeous card! I love your creative use of the Distress Stickles, and they really do show up well in the enlarged photo. I love that stamp, and the Asian elements you incorporated are perfect. This should be framed and hung on a wall-- it's that beautiful and elegant!

Very nice image! I love the Asian theme. You may want to try placing your light source at a 45 degree angle, it will reduce glare, and help show texture, and try not to flash from the camera (yeah, says the photographer; as if it worked for hers! I so need a digital SLR! LOL!)

Wow! Julie! This turned out fantastic. It looks like it's actually done on metal. Really cool!
