Joy

This art journal page was also part of the round robin journal project. As you can see, I used the same type background on this piece as in the previous piece. I had all this paint mixed up, so I thought why not? I did layer papers under the paint on these pages. I stamped and embossed and used some perfect pearls to add some shimmer. The title is Joy. This is how joy feels to me...how does it feel to you?

Fly

Another round robin journal page. This one is primarily acrylics and scrapbook paper that I cut freehand. The nest was a labor of love with many layers of different paper. I guess I should have gotten a close up of that area. This one was kind of fun don't you think?

Round Robin Journal

I'm involved in a round robin journal project with an online group I play with. This was one of my recent pages done in one of the participants journals. I used several shades of walnut tintz along with stencils and stamps. I wasn't very pleased with the way the colors dried and faded, which I'll have to keep in mind for future projects.

Olivia

I'm not much of a scrapbooker, although I do scrap my darling granddaughter and make albums for her mom. After making 2 albums, I decided I needed my own album. My album will just be my favorite pictures of Olivia, not the daily life photos. Olivia turned 2 in October and this is one of her studio shots, my favorite. She had on a beautiful party dress, which you can't see. I wanted a very feminine layout for this picture. Using supplies from a 'Swirlydoos' kit, I came up with this. I think I'll keep it in this frame for a bit, till I get the next LO done and then stick it in an album. I don't normally embellish much, do you think it's too much?

My Houses Have Come Home

In the past 2 months I have posted different row houses I have made for a swap with online friends. The swap is over and my houses have come. These are so much fun don't you think? I supplied materials to 5 different ladies and they came up with these houses. What a creative bunch! I chose these fun colors because I am so in need of some spring color. I think I'm going to make a screen with them using my bind it all and put them on my kitchen window sill.

There's Going to be a Wedding

My oldest daughter is getting married this month and I had her on my mind when I made this Tim Holtz style tag. Her wedding colors are champagne and blue, just lovely. I used distress inks, perfect pearls, Tim Holtz stamps and seven colors of embossing powder to make this tag. This one's for you Kat...

Pink & Brown

Pink and brown with a dash of blue. Uncommon colors for me to use, but I do like this card. Paper is Basic Grey and the stamp is by Artistic Outpost. It looks quite springy to me and I am so ready for spring!

Row House #5

This is my final row house for the swap. If you look back at Row House #1 you'll see all the details for this swap. I changed direction on this one several times, but do like how it turned out. IRL the colors are actually, black, white, gray and lavendar. Swaps such as these really force you to work creatively and out-of-the box. I can't wait to see the 5 houses that other participants made for me from my supplies. I'll be sure to post them. Hope you're having a healthy and creative week!
